It was announced yesterday that fantasy author Terry Pratchett had passed away from complications with Alzheimers disease. As this is a book blog, I thought I would post a small blog post about what he meant to me- even though I was not an avid reader of his.
I didn’t read many of his novels, but I have read Wee Free Men and A Hat Full of Sky, stories about little blue Scottish pixies who wear kilts. They made me laugh, and the characters still mean a lot to me this day. I read them in Year 9, I was around fourteen, but I still remember how much I enjoyed them.
So this is me, saying thank you.
Thank you Sir Terry, for writing a world so full of fun that it stays with us forever.
Rest in Peace sir.
